Nudism helped my daughter’s self-esteem
My husband, daughter, and I live in an out-of-the-way spot in a rural area. We live about 10 miles out from the nearest town. My husband and I are not slim; in fact, I am very fat, and our 14 year old daughter takes after me, weigh in about 295 pounds.
As you can imagine, she is not popular at school and really didn’t have any friends and she got picked on a lot, being one of the largest kids there. It doesn’t help that she’s very smart and does very well in school either. She is shy, and would rather bury her nose in a book instead of going outside to play.
For the longest time, it was just our house off the ground. Then, about a year and a half ago the lot adjacent to ours was purchased. A new house was built. I swimming pool went into the backyard. It was finished at the beginning of summer. Shortly after a family of four moved in. I manage his wife, and their two girls. The man is 10, and his wife is at least as fat as me, if not a little bigger. Their daughters are 14 and 12 and also quite fat themselves. The older girl is not as big as our daughter and the younger is probably 40 pounds lighter, but still quite large.
Our daughter was happy to see this, and was hopeful that she would be able to finally have a friend close in age that she could relate to. My husband and I met our neighbors and mentioned that we had a daughter around the same age as their kids. They seemed pleased, and said that they would have to meet each other sometime soon. We encouraged a daughter to go over and introduced herself, but she would always get embarrassed and make up some excuse because of how shy she is.
About a week and a half or so later, I heard a knock at the back door and went to answer it. I was taken aback when I open the door and found both of the neighbors’ girls standing there completely naked. They were both smiling, and did not seem at all concerned that they weren’t wearing anything. The older girl said, “we heard that you have a daughter about our age,“ and the younger girl said, “we are about to swim in our new pool, and we wanted to know if she would like to come and join us!“
I asked him why they weren’t wearing any clothes or bathing suits, and they explained that the family were nudists, and that they didn’t normally like to wear anything unless absolutely necessary. I was still a little shocked, but I went and drag my daughter out of her room to come and meet them. She was also surprised to see that they were both naked, and tried to decline the invitation but before she could so much, I looked at the two girls and said, “she’ll be delighted.” The grand and ran back to their house, and I told my daughter to go put her bathing suit on and join them or else. She reluctantly did someone went over to their house.
A few hours later, she came back, and she seemed very happy to have a couple of new friends. She talked all about them, and then she mentioned that their parents were nudists too, and that their mother came out and join them in the pool and she was also naked. This repeated itself over the next few days, and then one day our daughter came to us and asked if she could go swimming naked with them.
My husband wasn’t too sure about that but I have been doing some research into nudism and I told him that it would probably be OK for her to do it. Their family seem safe and people who are nudists had less hangups about their bodies and maybe I could help her daughter. We finally told her that she could do it, but we also told her it would be OK for her to cover up if she felt awkward or an easy. She said that the other girls had told her the same thing and she still wanted to try it. She went to her room and I’m dressed and came out. Her face was red, but she went over to their house and swim with them naked.
From then on, she never wore anything when she went over to their house, and when the other girls would come over here to visit, she would undressed you. As the summer went on, we noticed that she seem to be coming out of her shell. She started spending more time at home naked and by the end of the summer she basically stop wearing clothes all together unless necessary just like her friends.
When school started this year, the three of them went to school together. Obviously, they all wear clothes to school but when they come home immediately strip down. This is fine. One day, not long after school started we got a phone call from the principal. He wasn’t happy and said that our daughter had punched a boy in the face and then she would be suspended for three days. When she came home, we asked her about it, and she said she got mad because the boy called her, “tubby.” my husband and I just looked at each other. We couldn’t believe it. She was actually standing up for herself. We told her that we weren’t mad at her, but that there were other ways to stand up for herself, and she would have to serve out the suspension, but since then she gets picked on a lot less.
Three girls are looking forward to another ** summer. Only one more month before then.
As for my husband and I, well, we’ve begun to open up the nudism and have joined our neighbors and going completely naked for a little get together‘s and things, but we haven’t really gone completely ** at home like our daughter does. The more often than not I have been spending time wearing only underwear and a bra.
