Coercive Control

As I said in my earlier post, I started controlling very early in the marriage.

One thing I did was when I corrected her, I would have her say "thank you" followed by some additional descriptive words. "Thank you for correcting me I will try to do better", "Thank you, I am sorry I was being selfish", "Thank you I was not being submissive"

I also said to her that if anyone asked about thing, she should say that she did submit and obey her husband and that was what I wanted and what she wanted.

A bit later, I was talking with her about her submitting and obeying her husband and I said that I wanted her to call me "Sir".

This baseline was very helpful later when she went through a bit of a rebellious phase and her girlfriends reminded her that she had always modelled being traditional submissive wife and were these rebellious thoughts really her.
