Humiliated in front of girlfriend

One of my flatmates (a girl) started to challenge us on a "fight" (block the other on the ground). I did and won. Then they proposed that I would challenge my male flatmate. Hesitantly I accepted, just to discover that he does jiu jitsu. He blocked me on the ground several times, making me give up and laughing, just as my girlfriend was there watching. Never felt more emasculated.
