What happens to diplomas when the person that earned them dies?
My doctor had several diplomas and certificates on his wall. He retired and I heard over the grapevine that he had passed away. I suppose his family left them on the wall but he's been deceased so long his family might be gone too. Then what?

I am a white male that graduated with honors from a great college. I graduated with debt almost equal to a mortgage. The job opportunities have plunged in the field I studied for because of the random financial cuts by the current administration. I am seriously looking into offering my talents outside the US since the current outlook is so dismal. If offered a job, permanent residency possibly leading to citizenship I would very seriously consider walking away from my education debt and starting fresh and a new somewhere else.
Leprechauns take them and hide them in a large secret stash of diplomas.
It end off in the trash...in the dump.
Either family keeps them as momentous or they get thrown out, like everything else lacking monetary value.
