Forest
We retired and all my life I have loved my wife very much. But now that we retired she wants to move into the outback. But I want to stay in NY. I was born here, I grew up here. I want to die here. Yet, my wife wants a "change". She wants the great outdoors - forests, lakes and such like romanticized concepts. She wants to grow her own crops and smoke her own fish. I hate gardening and I do not see why I need to smoke the fish to eat smoked fish.
So I said OK in April I will go with her to live out there "in the hut". But come October I am coming back here. To read books, drink coffee and quarrel with my old friends.
Man. I sometimes think I should not have married at all.
