A Catholic Priest told his congregation this
The Priest was impressed by a young man going to college making great grades. He asked this young man would he be interested in becoming a Priest.
The boy said no and when asked why the boy said he wanted to experience the beauty of the world.
What I think the kid meant is that he wanted a girlfriend he could ** or a wife he could have kids with. The kid wanted something, anything except to be a Priest and live a life of sexless Priest.
I don't blame the kid. I would rather die than be a childless old Priest. They may minister to kids but their sexless life gets them in trouble when they go the pedo route.
I'd drop out of the church rather than be a Priest.
No, what that boy really meant was that he was not into other kids and he did not want to serve a God that allows his representatives her on earth to engage in inappropriate behavior with children and get clean away with it instead of being struck dead on the spot by that "God" that allegedly is "Just".
The other in between subtext was that he doesn't believe in that fake god his parents are forcing him to be exposed to and already has plans to skip out of there as soon as he's old enough.
