I like my best friend

She is my childhood friend and we are very close, we share everything and at one point I started feeling something for her, at first I brushed it off as just feeling way too attached, a strong feeling of friendship and confusing friendship with love, but after 4 years I think it's time to admit i love her, i'm supposedly a straight woman, and my mom thinks that not being straight is a sin. Anyways I love her and every time I see her I want to cuddle and be clingy all the time. sometimes she seems like she likes me too, but then she doesn't? I feel like both us are circling around, she isn't the brave type either. is there anything I can do or say to check if there really is something between us or if I'm just delulu?
