I'm in love with your best friend. You treat me like ** and he listens to me and comforts me when i'm depressed. I can't be with him because of you but I would have never met him without you.
If you ever fall in love with one person, and then another, choose the second because if you really loved the first guy then you would never have fallen for the second.
Well, if you don't love the person you are with, it would only be fair but to end the relationship and spend some time alone, single, just to see if his best friend loves you the way you think. If you're sure of his love, go for it, but in the end, you should end it with your boyfriend so he won't be hurt so much in the end. But i definitely agree with the above.
From my own life: I was not in love with his best friend. Nor did I notice how attractive he was. But I turned to him for all the advice I could get. Every time I wanted to cry I went to his best friend. My relationship, thankfully, ended. I have been with his best friend, who is no longer his friend but that ended before my relationship did, for 4 months. I am now completely in love, and most of all happy. End your relationship. If he treats you like **, his friend has probably noticed. His friend even may want more from you. :)
