Afraid to marry

I love my boyfriend, and i seriously see us getting married, having kids, growing old together. But I'm afraid of marriage. I don't want some barbie-ish wedding with my whole family. The thought of the ceremony itself terrifies me into nightmares. Yet I am a girl and this idea that I've thought about my wedding day since i was a little girl has been pushed on me by everyone- including his parents.
