What will it take for someone to love me?
I want to join the military for many honorable reasons but recently I realized that's probably the only way I'll ever have a chance to be in a relationship with a guy. I'm in my last semester of college and I've never in my life had a guy approach me to tell me that he likes me. I've never even kissed a guy. I'm afraid that I'll get really hurt.

There are so many ways to meet people nowadays. But you have to open to it and willing to put yourself out there. Yes, there is a chance for rejection and a broken heart, but that's life. There's also a chance you won't get that job you want or win the lottery, but you keep trying because you believe. No one has died from a broken heart. Sure, it hurts..but you live and learn and you eat some Ben & Jerry's and you go forward. Like the other commenter said.. don't wait for a guy to ask you out, ask him out. Or if you're too shy, tell your friends you are ready to start dating and see if they have any nice boys to set you up with. Or just go out with friends, join groups, find a sport etc. You have to put yourself out there and let guys know that you're interested and approachable. So if you're head is always down or you divert your eyes.. start by holding your head up high, make eye contact and smile. Stop being scared of the unknown, look forward to it.
Maybe you can ask a guy that you like if he likes you.
