My mother
Today is Mother's Day. The majority of people my age still have their mothers alive. They don't know how lucky they are. My mother died when I was a teenager from an overdose of an illegal drug. Her body was found in an alley. It haunts me to this day. I'll never admit it to anyone but I get really jealous of other people my age and even older who still have their moms around. They don't know how lucky they are. I'm well passed the age where one is expected to still need their mothers around, but growing up as a young man without one really had an effect on me. Plus I'm still angry at my mother for choosing her addiction over her children.
Sorry but your mom was selfish. Don't envy. God probably thought best she was of no good for you. May you heal on God's time and find an excellent motherly figure.

I feel for you. I sort of understand your pain. I lost my father when I was 13. I felt odd. Lost. Jealous. All i can say is your future is ahead of you.
That must be hard, and I feel for your struggle!
I too cannot stand a parent who chooses drugs or any addiction over their child. My mother was an alcoholic& prescription drug abuser. She's still alive but has never helped me, and has even caused more damage being around - her selfishness is astounding.
My child's dad became addicted to oxy and from there became a heroin addict despite several rehabs. He is like a wrecking ball and wreaks havoc wherever he goes. God forgive me, I actually wish he would od and die, because all he does is hurt people.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is at least you can have closure and hopefully will have your own family someday!
I am sure she loves you - and if she could do it over she would!
