Countdown to co-worker's maternity leave!
I can't wait for my co-worker to go on maternity leave! Only 30 more working days! Woo Hoo! Hopefully she'll be gone for at least 2 months (with no health problems w/ her or the baby)! I've met the sweet woman who's going to be filling in, & she's a lot nicer & easier to get along with. I wish Caitlyn would stay from now on & the other woman would find another job ASAP!!!
I hope for your and your coworkers' sakes she never came back. "Working" mommies come in late, leave early, demand special accommodations, and "share" every single illness their precious little petri dish catches with their coworkers. Conventional workplaces are effed up enough without all that added on!
Understood. My last office job, several years ago. Had a receptionist/secretary that I hated from day one. When she went out on medical leave, the manager was interviewing short-term replacements, and I had my favorite picked out: about my age, back-length, flowing black hair, beautiful face and smile, and sweet as pie. Also originally from area I was, so we had that connection, too.
I figured, no way he (the manager) hires her, he'd never do that for me..He'll hire some fat, middle-aged crank just like who's leaving..But, to my huge surprise..He hired Diane.. I counted the days until ** crank secretary was going on medical leave, just so I could spend every day with Diane. She started, and we got along so well that two of the office people thought we were dating. I let them think it. Was better than fighting with the one she replaced every day like I was.
I think that a lot of people could identify with what you're saying here. Unpleasant co-workers can make parts of a day an absolute living **. Good for you!
