Getting a tooth pulled caused a startling revelation
When I was 68 I had a rear molar pulled. It had been capped but decay got under the cap and the tooth couldn't be saved. It had to come out. All my life I tried to keep my teeth in good shape by brushing, flossing and going to the dentist twice a year to get them cleaned.
It worked for a long time but not forever.
Ok so the dentist wanted to do an implant which he was ging to charge right at but not quite, $5000.00 for. I said no I'd live with the gap. The dentist told me that if I did that remaining molar would eventually try to close the gap which would throw the teeth out of kilter.
He said that in ten years it would be sure to happen.
Startling revelation. I'll be dead before that happens.
