My favourite poem
And then she was gone... By Ginger.
She chose to walk alone
Though others wondered why
refused to look before her
Kept eyes cast upwards
Towards the sky
She didn't have companions
No need for earthly things
Only wanted freedom
From what she felt
Was puppet strings
She longed to be a bird
That she might fly away
She pitied every blade of grass
For planted they would stay
She longed to be a flame
To brightly dance alone
Felt jealous of the steam
That made the air its only home
Some say she wished too hard
Some say she wished too long
But we awoke one autumn day
To find that she was gone
The trees they say stood witness
The sky refused to tell
But someone who had seen it
Said the story played out well
She spread her arms out wide
Breathed in the break of dawn
She just let go of all she held
... And then she was gone
And this is exactly why I said before that I'm in love with your words. While these are not specifically your words, I feel that I can intrinsically relate to the essence of you. Thank you for being you.
This was from a tv kids tv show, I remember it was about how all the people were thinking the writer was sad and depressed but in the end, we saw it was how the poem made all those who read it question their own happiness and the writer was just being a good writer.
It was 'as told by ginger'
No man is an Island. The same is true of women. This poem is depressing.
Depends on how you interpret it. To me its about escape. Freedom.
