I eat toilet tissue
I eat toilet tissue. Contrary to what you might think, this is not a major issue. Just a curiosity. The product is designed to disintegrate when moist. The only drawback is when it bunches up and forms a knot. If swallowed, this could cause digestion problems. The knot will occur even with a single sheet, when chewed by itself.
The way around this is to mix the sheet with existing food , layering on top or wrapping around. As you chew the food, the sheet falls apart and avoids the knot. Remember, use a single sheet only. So, layer them into sandwiches, or wrap around a candy bar, or brownie. Ok, you may sense stubborn tiny knots, but just remove them.
I think the whole idea of doing this is exciting, considering the original purpose of the sheets. Feeling the dry sensation of the tissue makes the food more interesting, and encourages more creative chewing techniques. I have never had any bad physical reactions from doing this. So.. go for it.
