Keep getting a hole in my left sock but not my right one.

Honestly, this should also be under "other" and "strange" because that's what it is although it's actually making me mad. For the past two weeks I've had something unusual happening. Firstly, I have always worn 11 1/2 shoes so my feet have not grown but, for some unknown reason, my left sock has begun to feel like it's bunching up whenever I put on my left shoe. One day, when I took my left sock off, there was a hole in the sock above my left toe. Pretty soon, it started becoming a problem. I'd put on my sock, stick my foot in the shoe and it would feel like something in my shoe is bunching it up. I take off my shoe and there's a hole in the big toe area. I've checked the inside of my shoe but there's nothing in there that could be doing this. Just to make sure that it wasn't my shoe, I bought a brand new pair of shoes but, the same thing is happening with the new pair. Sock, shoe, hole. For two days I went to work without socks on. Only shoes. What really gets me mad is that it only happens with my left socks but not my right socks. Today, I decided to wear two pairs of socks and as I was driving to work, it felt like there was a hole in my left sock again. I took off my shoe and the sock and looked at the sock underneath it and there's no hole. I have always worn the right size shoes and socks so I have no idea why it's happening but it's driving me bonkers. Finally decided to go to Amazon and found some socks with Kevlar weaving in the toes and heel area so bought two pairs. Hopefully it will solve the problem.
