I have contempt for my clients

I think deep down that they're pathetic, strange, disgusting, lazy and unhygienic. I know I shouldn't feel this way and should have some empathy, but I do feel this way. I'm repeatedly exposed to the nastiest, crustiest, mustiest, most unskilled, rudest, stupidest people in society and it makes me feel hopeless about the world because I forget that normal people even exist sometimes.

I wonder on a weekly basis how people are so ** bad at looking after themselves and how some people got to adulthood with the apparent inability to regularly brush their teeth and inside of their mouth or wash their ** ** and clothing, or not be selfish and impulsive to the detriment of everyone around them.

People say mental illness and addiction isn't a choice but a) those things are not as related as society is trying to say they are and they're not in the same category and b) SOME OF BOTH OF THOSE THINGS IS RELATED TO CHOICE. You can choose to look after yourself despite chemical abnormalities. That's why we still send crazy people to jail when they commit crimes sometimes.

You don't ALWAYS turn into an inanimate object incapable of complex thought and reasoning or knowing right from wrong because of every mental illness, disability and addiction that exists. We need to say it's both a choice AND a disease. Choice matters somewhat here. Stop enabling ** up people to wallow in self pity.

I feel frustrated and disgusted by peoples' lack of ability to manage their mental illnesses. I feel rage when my clients are unwilling to get their ** together and do what needs to be done. I feel hatred when they act helpless so they don't have to do anything and I think sometimes that if they want to die so bad then they should go ahead and do that because sitting in your own ** and whining when people try to help you isn't living. If you don't want to exist in the world, you don't HAVE to. No one is making you be here. Participate in your own life or ** off!!!
