Schoolyard revenge backfired on me
In fourth grade there was a girl who was such a tattletale. She couldn't wait to get other kids in trouble, and I was one of her prime targets. Although I admit I had done something wrong, more often than not. She was just so snobby, prim and prissy that I couldn't stand her. I'd had to sit out of recess and write sentences because she had told on me for throwing paper airplanes while the teacher was out of the room. I decided I would embarrass her to get even. I'd be in more trouble once she told on me again, but it would be worth it. She was wearing a sweater, blouse and skirt and stood by telling the other girls how to play during recess. Stunned I looked up just in time to see her pounce. She landed next to me and as I tried to roll over to get up, she grabbed two handfuls of my hair, yanking and pulling. I yelped in pain and she twisted my ear and scratched my face. Then started pounding up and down my back and side with her fists as I curled up. I moaned and grunted, and covered my face and head with my arms. I could hear the other girls mumbling and giggling as they gathered to watch.
She sat on my back and started pulling my sweater up. I squirmed and kicked, but she yanked it off leaving me in my t-shirt and tossed it away. Cut that out, I demanded but she was already yanking and pulling at my pants. I heard some of the girls telling her, that's it, strip him down! I rolled onto my hands and knees, which was a mistake as she pulled the back of my pants down exposing my briefs. The girls were laughing and I told her, that's enough, you better quit it! I rolled back trying to pull my pants up, but she had a hold of both pant legs. She stood up, pulled and stripped them completely off me!
She was holding them up laughing when the teacher finally came pushing her way past the circle of girls. I was standing there in my brown socks, white t-shirt and tighty-whities humiliated.
