My relationship with black workers
I retired at age 55 after thirty years with an insurance company. They were forcing people with thirty years or more service to retire early.
I decided 55 was too young to hang it up so I went to work for a state warehouse. The pay was dismal but it gave me something to do and look forward to.
OK my co worker was a 19 year old black man who was not a good worker but that didn't bother me because only one person was needed to do the job. He could just sit there and not do anything if he so desired.
He was often not even at his work post. He got into trouble with a black lady somehow and she cussed him out over the phone. He made the mistake of calling her the N word and she went to HR.
They fired him. Our manager was black s were the heads of HR and out the door the poor guy went. He had two children and a car note to pa for.
I was the only white in the situation and I just sat saying nothing.
OK time passes and I get older. At age 65 they told me I had to go. Too old to work there anymore. I hated to leave this easy job but I had to go.
I got a small annuity form them then social security kicked in and I inherited a house worth $150,000 and I moved in with my Uncle.
I'm getting old and I guess I'll be gone soonish which is just as well. All of my friends including my very best friend have died. My turn I guess.
Standard work place situation. Some workers are on the freight train and some on the gravey train.
Don't hang it up, fight the liberals till you die.
Not sure what to say. Doesn't sound like it's racist. Sounds like he enjoyed his job. It's a bit sad in a way. The passing of time.
