Odd dream before a breakup

I dreamed that a guy was carrying my girlfriend in his arms. I was strangly unaffected. He said "She's mine". I said ok. I woke up and broke up with her. Did I give up my girl over a dream? Not really. She said she wanted to date other boys and I did nt care at all. She went out with a guy and I never called her again. I'm grateful to the dream. I'm better off without her.
