Meeting The Angel Of Death

I met that angle of death when our vehicle was hit by an IED that flipped us over and killed everyone but me. I remember it's pale, hairless face staring at me as he touch my shoulder. I recall hearing a voice in my head asking me if I was ready.

My rescuers told me that as they were pulling me out of the wrecked vehicle, I was talking. They quoted me saying "Sorry, you son of a **, not today, not today!"

I do not recall saying anything at all. I also do remember having this impression as if I was still reacting to having been told..."Next time then." by someone from within the vehicle.

I reported this to my doctor's while being treated at the hospital that I was eventually evacuated to. They told me that it is most probably from the brain trauma I received. I see their point, but it did seem very real at the time.
