I was a young adult during the hippie era
One of the hippies catch phrases was "you can trust anyone over thirty.". I knew that was horse ** as soon as I heard it. I was aware that you can't trust anyone of any age especially a group of people who pan handled for a living.
People started using drug then. Bad thing to happen. In my case every doper has died leaving only us nearly 80 nerds alive. At age 78 I don't know a single hard drug user from that era thats still alive.
I used to wear a beard and then I saved it only leaving a mustache. I got older and shaved that off too. I worked and died drawing a not that great pension but at least I got checks coming in.
Yes I'll be dead soon but at least I out lived the doper losers who are now underground.
People still use dope and have even invented new ones since I was young. HOW STUPID.
I live because I restricted my chemicals to small amounts of alcohol on the ** weekends and I uit even that in my old age.
I'm kind of bitter because the dopers got the pretty girls who incidentally look like ** these days because of age and the dope they guzzled when they were young and pretty.
The same ** happening these days but this generation has no name for their dopers. We called them hippies in my day and they are dead and gone.
Fairly accurate depiction of the boomer generation. Don't forget all the Moonbeams and Sunshine types that changed their names to Steel and Diamond in the 80's and voted Republican. They got out, but balanced living was never gonna work for them.
