I'm 40+ and divorced my ex officially 3 years ago, but we see each other on and off. Our children are grown up.
I met the girl that "fits" me and she is coming to my place in a few months.
My ex knew that we are not getting back together and asked me to "give" her another baby. Now she is pregnant. I know that I will be with my new wife when the baby is born.
When I think about me not being able to be there when the baby is born, and when s/he grows - it sends my head spinning.
Not that I'm asking for advice. Merely airing my thoughts. I know it will work out, but right now I'm just scared...
Of course you know that you didn't just give up the rights to that baby. Until your wife takes on a serious partner you may be require to give financial support. The whole situation might bother your new girl but life is complicated, isn't it?
