Shoplifting

I am an older guy who should know better. I got confronted by two young girls who work at Claire's for taking an ankle bracelet. I didn't think anyone was looking! They took me to the back of the store to fill out a report. I offered to pay for it (only a few bucks), but they said it was to late and they were detaining me for the police and filling out a report. I pleaded for them to just let me ztgo but it was no use!
