My future

All my life people have gone on about how intelligent I am, how I will succeed in life, get a decent career and have enough money to get by.
Now I'm in my mid 20s and I've realized I don't want that life. I've been miserable for years trying to make everyone else happy. I don't want a career, I just want to have my own family and be happy, but I'm terrified of disappointing everyone.
