I don't want to be this way

I really want to live a good Orthodox Jewish life. I would be a ba'al teshuva...but I'm a lesbian. I hate that I like girls, I want to be straight but I know that I can't change it...so I'm a weird reform girl who keeps kosher.

  • You're right that you can't change on your own. Only God can change you, if you ask Him to grant you the grace of repentance. • Are you suggesting she can "pray away the gay".. are you mental?

  • There are no prohibitions in Leviticus against lesbian s**. Enjoy who you are and be proud of both your Jewish identity and your capability to love.

  • God made you the way you were. So be happy and celebrate his creativity.

On the other hand I don't believe in god, so just accept you for who you are, and have fun
