My friend is on suicide mode

Hey guys, so my friend is so depressed right now. She won't talk to anyone and people are putting notes in her locker saying that they hope she dies. She's not smart, not talented, smokes, does drugs, cuts herself, has no real parents, she dates guys too old for her,and is all alone. I really actually don't like her anymore because of something she said to me, but she does need help, so should I call the police??? She said she was gonna kill herself tonight, but the reason I'm not freaking out is because she's said these things before for attention. I'm waiting for her to come out of her room now while her mom and dad are no where because they could care less.Help?

  • First a**** the situation. If she told you that, and you are at her house, I am guessing its because she trusts you. She probably said what she did because she was hurting, don't let it be the reason why you don't help her. Keep her company, and if she has any sibling or anyone that she feels really comfortable with, tell them why you are worried. Don't do directly to her parents! Talk to her about what she said, but made sure it does not turn into an argument. Hang out, and have a good time with her. Just don't mention that you think she is not smart, and that she is talent less ( not very nice by the way). If it looks like she really could do it, call the police.

  • It's very nice of you to insult your "friend" that way. I would know because I know how it feels. -K

  • However, I do agree with the person below me. They're absolutely right. -K

  • If you believe the threat his real, call the police. Whatever she said to you, she probably said out of anger and hurt. Don't let take it personally. She needs to realize that she has worth and not to let these s**** at your school affect her. Tell her parents as well. It's best to tell someone and let others help her out. This is too big for you to take on yourself. She may be mad, but at least she'll get the help she desperately needs. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255
