Flighty is a perfect description. I endured that with my sons mom for a few years and decided I had had enough. She is finally married to someone else now,has another son and has even bought a house ,and seems content and settled.She is even overly nicer to me,probably after realizing that I meant well. Very young can be much more attractive and exciting,but at times when there is a huge age difference,there can be issues. That is not to say that some such relationships don't succeed. At my age,a much younger woman may be ideal-she will live longer and, therefore, raise the child(ren) to maturity. If a woman is up to some good,it would not matter to me,so long as she is legal. Yes,some white parents freak out when they know their beloved daughter is opening her legs for some black guy to devour:)
You're so right about all that. I'm in my mid-40s and have a different perspective than I used to have before I married my husband. The daughter of a girlfriend of mine left home during her junior year in high school to move in with a black man older than her parents. What they did was exactly what you said: they freaked the ** out. As you probably would guess, that just made matters worse, because the girl dug in her heels and refused to budge. That was over a year ago and the girl is still living with the man (he's probably about your age), and the parents have calmed down a little . . . but not very much. Neither of them seem to be able to get out of their heads the image of their daughter being ravaged night after night after night after night by a powerful black man. The girl doesn't talk to me, but I expect she's totally ruined now (in the good way) and will never go to bed with a white male again. I haven't told her mother this, but I actually love the way they look together, and I love the idea of the relationship they have, and . . . even more secretly . . . I envy her. She always looks satisfied and he always looks proud. I've seen other mixed couples, of course, but knowing her gives it a more personal context. You should totally TOTALLY go just as young as possible. You'll be much happier. MUCH happier. And you'll be making some young white girl's dreams come true.
