Looks good from the outside
I do lawn care. I love what I do. But my boss, who talks the talk, doesn't walk the walk. I am an observant person, and it has become obvious that he is fully committed to profit, and doesn't much care about the safety of his few employees, nor does he seem to mind much when customers are lied to or cheated.
I'm not going to say what I do, but it is a business where of the customer is cheated, they never know it. Only we would know, and it happens a lot. I don't like that. I was raised to be honest in my dealings with people. I don't cheat customers, but am under pressure to do so.
I make a decent wage. I look for other work all the time, but would have to take a pay cut, and cannot afford that.
Do you work for one of those TruGreen kind of lawn care companies, where they come and spray the lawn every month? I cancelled my service because they kept calling and trying to sell other lawn services to me. I hated that. And now I suspect that they were either watering down the chemicals they were spraying, or skipping parts of the yard if they knew I wasn't home.
