I surprised my girlfriend in a negative way

I had been dating this girl for three years and the relationship was going downhill fast. She was just about to began college and would be meeting other men and making new friends. I realized that as soon as she started meeting people all would be over for us.

I had decided that if one more negative thing happened in our relationship I would leave her forever.

Ok I called her up on wednesday like I always did and I asked her out. She asked what we were going to do. I suggested a movie. Nah. I suggested a drive. She said nah. I asked her to suggest something but she said nah. I then made the mistake of suggesting a trip to the zoo and this ** her off. We had been to the zoo befire and the smell of the elephants had turned her off. She said NAH. She elaborated by saying I knew she hated the zoo.

Ok this was everything in my power to do. I couldn't afford anything more extravagant.

I responded by never calling her again. She didn't contact me either. We never spoke again.
