7 Hours at ER no Treatment?
For much of this year,I have had a painful swollen foot/ankle. I have seen few doctors and clinics and nobody seems to figure out what the matter is. It does not hurt that much anymore,but I can't seem to walk well,I have a limp in my gait. So after going through all sorts of trouble,I walked into the state of the art ER of a major hospital here in Texas.I saw a nurse as soon as I walked in,got registered,had blood drawn almost right away and then told to wait for the doctor in this brand new cold area with many other people. I had arrived around 6pm and by 137am,I had not seen a doctor. I decided to leave and they told me to come to their clinic across the street as early as 645 am because its faster than they are. I left so ashamed,angry and embarrassed with myself and the situation.
I spent 12 hours in an emergency room waiting area with a huge cyst on my groin, finally they called me back, the thing burst when I stood up, blood a pus ran clear down my pants leg and onto the floor.
Most painful dozen hours in my life.
