Fear of being ridiculed

My boyfriend tried to breakup with me 2 months into the relationship with all the "It's not you, it's me" bullshit. That was right after I recovered from a serious illness. A******, I know.

So I was there trying to cry, saying that I love him and stuff, give me one more chance blahblahblah. It was actually to save myself from being ridiculed by our friends for only lasting 2 months in a relationship.

  • 2 months of realizing you're not right for each other is a blessing. And it's far better than staying in a relationship (and wasting your precious time with someone who doesn't want to be with you) because you're too embarrassed to realize you deserve better or for show. Please break up with him now.. who cares what your friends think or say. They are not dating him, you are. And both of you deserve to date people you actually want to be with and be happy. Let this be the most important lesson you ever learn. Don't settle. Maybe you should also get some new friends. Because they should support you. If you felt that it wasn't right, or he wasn't feeling it.. why put yourself through that misery? Your friends sound like a*******..get new friends.
