Dancing (holiday rant)
I went to my husband's holiday party at his work, and it was boring, but still okay. The food and drinks were great. It was fun to meet people that he's only told me about.
The party was a ballroom type of thing, so people were dancing. That was nice, but my husband spent WAY too much time dancing with a couple of other women. One was a coworker of his, around our age (40ish), and another was much younger (20ish).
To be fair, my husband danced with me too (albeit one song), and I danced with a guy at our table who asked me. I think it is rude to say "no" to a dance. It is proper etiquette to just do it, regardless of who asks. But one song is enough.
But my husband glommed onto his 40ish coworker and danced at least 6 songs. That is nearly a half of a freaking hour. He then danced with this young blonde who was maybe 20 for another 4 songs, so another 20 minutes or so. Meanwhile, I was bored out of my mind and downing martinis at our table, hoping to die.
I think my husband and I have a good marriage. 17 years at this point. I mentioned that it would have been nice if he spent more of the party with me, but he looked at me like I had kicked him in the nuts.
I don't think that he's cheating or anything, but he wore his desire on his sleeve. I think he wanted to f*** those women. Am I wrong?
