Everybody in my family is white trash except me
Both of my older brothers are in prison. One won't be out for another fifteen years and the other won't be released for another seven years. My father drank himself to death and my mother is a two bit waitress in a cheap diner.
I graduated high school. Barely but I graduated. I joined the army and three years later was discharged honorably. I took a job as an order puller for a junkyard. Yes its a ** job but its a job. Hopefully things will get better.
The police question me a lot and its because of my family name. They have a hard time believing I could not be doing something illegal but I don't.
Life is difficult but it could be much much worse.

My wife's family is the same way. Brother is in prison for life. Her grandmother is in prison for life. Her father has been in and out of jail most of her life. He's a crack head now at 65 years old and she will have nothing to do with him. Her mother has been dead for almost 5 years now.
You just have to break that curse and move on. Sounds like you did that. And there is nothing wrong with a parts puller. You guys earn every penny you make.
