I helped a Brit girl get a teachers certificate
I had just graduated from a mediocre University. My father didn't like it because he had plans for me and he wanted me to go to a better college but I wanted to go where I went.
Working in London with my father I met his secretaries daughter. We became friends. She was in the same circumstances as I was with higher education except the UK has higher standards than the good ol USA when it comes to higher education.
I suggested she come back with me and attend my University. She wanted to be a teacher so they did have a children's education program.
To make a long story she graduated with very good grades although by Euroepean standards this college left much to be desired. I think they overdo it. We studied the same texts as other more well thought of colleges and when we graduated we usually did well.
So did she. She returned to the UK and got a position in a childrens grammar school and one year became a star teacher.
So we do catch up my european friends. Even if our schools aren't that great we do fine after we graduate.
