I may have made a 13 year old girl commit suicide
I posted a story on ao3 (an online story sharing website) and in the first two days it got over a thousand views. Then I came across a comment where someone had asked when the story would be updated, and someone responded by saying they would likely post the next chapter tomorrow. I was really confused, because it was in no way their story. So I went to their account, and sure enough, they had a story posted with a crappy name that switched out a few words from the title of mine. It was literally my writing with a few sentences changed with bad grammar and spelling. I politely requested they take the story down, but got no reply to my comment. I was angry, and of course my stupid brain decided to anonymously comment multiple horrible comments on their book. When I say horrible, I mean literally like stuff that could make people want to kill themselves. Overnight I realized how wrong it was and immediately took the comments down, but the person had already seen them. They took the story down the next day, and I never heard from them since. I’m scared of what I might have done because the girl never seemed very mentally stable from the start.
