I often wonder what they thought when they discovered what I had
My manager called me into his office and said he had heard I wasn't much help. I told him I didn't understand why he had been told that because I had set up several tables and chairs without help for a meeting and when the meeting was over took them down. It was hard sweaty work. Later on the company lost some storage space and needed to move it stuff to another part of the basement. I had also done that work with no help at all.
The problem was a guy had appeared out of nowhere who had worked for the company at another building and they transferred him to where I was working. He had seniority but the company didn't like to fire people.
Being told I was a slacker hit me hard in the wrong way.
One day while storing some beverages being tired and sweaty I was told I had been overheard using profane language. I had but I didn't know a lady could hear me.
They fired me for that and I was unable to collect unemployment.
Was this a company lynching?
The title has no connection to the story…
I apologise. What I meant to say its that before I was fired I had done a lot of physically demanding work that they were unaware at that moment that I had done. I wonder what they though when they discovered the heavy lifting and massive cleaning up for them I had done. Were they sorry they had to fire me? Didn't care?
