I'm sick of my (Latino) "heritage"
For context, I'm half Nicaraguan, half Costa Rican, so I'm technically "Latino" (even though I have white skin) but I don't speak Spanish, only English and essentially just walk, talk, and act like an American white guy. My family has continuously scrutinized (and joked) about me not knowing Spanish, my mom has even said that I act like white trash for not taking the initiative to be "cultured". (in regards to anything Latin American) And even when I've tried to speak learn and speak Spanish (it f#cking frustrates and angers me I hate the ** language) I'm only ever mocked for how bad I am at it and my accent. But honestly being "Latino" is so f#cking overrated! It ** me of seeing these Hispanic zeolites, because being Hispanic is basically all they base and backbone to their entire personality. I also hate their sorry excuse for music it's just maracas, accordions, bugles, and lyrics about romance and **. And the language itself is so f#cking overrated, it's so overdramatic, overly romantic, cheesy, and loud. I'm so sick of being admonished and shamed for not knowing Spanish and not embracing my roots, as far as I'm concerned f#ck them all. I relinquish and denounce my heritage.

Being Latino is not that you speak Spanish or Russian or you name it. It is about who your mother and father are (basically : people living in S and C America of Spanish or Italian roots, or else Portuguese roots). It is also about their religion (predominantly Catholic). And or any mixture thereoff (e.g. with blacks, indians, caribs, etc.)
I am sorry to hear that you are a Latino who hates being a Latino. To make your life easier perhaps, I can sweat to you that it is equally ** off to be an Eastern European, a Jew, a ** ... you name it. In any social / ethnic / religious community there are people who hate being part of it.
You are not alone. But this is what it is. We cannot even blame our parents - they acted in good faith and on a basic animal instinct of procreation. So let it be.
but. If you look at it, there must be something good about being Latino. Something you do like. Stick with it. And go live where people put no stickers on ya. Antarctic is one such place - anywhere away from 1 mile's perimeter beyond the nearest scientific base/station.
Don't try to make the rest of us miserable ...IF you are really that unhappy just commit suicide and be done with it. Chances are everyone that knows you is most probably already pretty sick and tired of all of your whines already and in the long run will not miss you at all.
It is the forced Americanization culture that usually is to blame for this, but if you are too much for f a weak monkey, then by all means please jump off the tree and allow the rest of us who are stronger and better adjusted to keep going. In the long run the United States will end off a blended country if they like it or not. Period.
