Odd scary coincidence

My first cousin got brain cancer in 1996. She died a year later. Not much the doctors could do. She was a good woman. Sad.

Ten years later her mother died of the same disease. Brain cancer. The cancer was in another part of her mothers brain but it is weird. The doctor said he had never heard of anything like that and that they must have been exposed to some contaminant in their environment.

The lady's brother lived in the same environment as his mother and sister but at age 75 he's still healthy. No sign of any type of cancer.

    • Well... most folks in MAGA will die of this.

    • It is very common for cancer to be genetically transferred in the meaning that people in one family will be more likely to get cancers than people from another family; and there is no rule for who dies first - mother or her children - as each person is a mix of genes and there are many factors that may trigger the cancer (trigger, not cause) - like living style (sleep, alcohol, tobacco, drug, etc.), obesity, exposure (screens, smartphones, X-rays, frequent air travel, etc); so I do not understand what you are saying that a doctor said "it is unheard of"; actually it is common and a regular occurence, and there is no rule on who goes first, it may be either
