My Aunt inherited a house and property from a woman at her church
The lady was lower middle class receiving checks from her meager pension and Social security. She didn't have much. My Aunt asked me to go with her to the ladys house.
She opened the door with the key given to her by the ladies lawyer and we inspected everything. Out dated TV. Worn out furniture. ragged carpets and a old poster bed. Nothing of value but there were a lot of figurines.
My Aunt sold them and received about $400.00 for them. The poor lady had a lot of them.
The property was sold although being in a rural area it wasn't worth that much. The house is still there as no one wants to build anything there.
I'm glad the poor old lady had my Aunt for a friend. She didn't have much of anything else.
