Incident in rural Georgia during the late 50's
I was a construction worker and we had a few black co workers. We all got along and made pretty good money.
Don't ask me how this happened but one of our black workers walked through a plate glass window and he was cut all over his body. Glass was in his skin in several places and we took him to the hospital. The doctor there was from Pennsylvania and he told us he had moved south to avoid having to treat **. His word not ours.
OK we told this Yankee doctor "well your going to work on this **". He reluctantly started getting the glass out of our worker. It took awhile. He had to go to the hospital.
Despite the hard work of the other doctors he during his lifetime had pieces of glass every once in awhile working its way out of his skin.
When he passed away the funeral director said some glass was found in his body during the embalming process.
He was a great worker and friend and to this day in my old age I often think about this.
How did the dumb ** walk through a plate glass window? Another testament to the stupidly of the niggra race. Well, at least he had a job.
I didn't see the accident so I don't know. Not looking where he was going I guess.
