When your mom dies, you can do whatever you want.
These are the words my dad said to me months before he died from cancer. The truth is, that's all I ever wanted to do with my life. What I wanted. When I was in the second grade, my teacher told the entire class that America was a free country which meant freedom of choice but, she was wrong. America is not a free country because there's no such thing as freedom of choice. I should know. My entire life, people have made my decisions for me and every time I tried to make my own choices, they would be over ridden. Halfway through the third grade, for reasons unknown to me, I was sent to a private school. I was never asked if I wanted to go, I was simply sent. In high school, I was forced to go on a date with a classmate I didn't want to go out with, I was forced to get a job, I was forced to go to a school dance, I was forced to go to a school in Johnstown to learn computer repair. It's my life so it should be my choice of what I want to do with it. And I'm making my choice right now. One day, when my mom dies, I plan on leaving and never returning. I'm going to go on a very long trip and when my car runs out of gas, I'm just going to abandon it and then continue walking on. I don't care where I go as long as I'm finally free to do what I want.

In the USA you are free to be miserable.
You are encouraged to live in debt. You are encouraged to always want more, to exercise your most profound greed and to isolate and now to live in homage to a leader that is an aging convicted felon, predator of underaged female and possible child molester. This is what is being presented as being "Great".
