Do you think I might be a **?
I'm a man of 37 yo and I have a 10 yo daughter, I love her very much, and she loves me too, we are very close and I often play with her; she's very sweet and pretty, and a bit of a tomboy, however, lately something has been happening that concerns me... Well, for a few months now I can't help but look at her feet. I swear, I can't explain it, but as soon as she's barefoot I look at them, one day she noticed it too, so much so that she asked me if I was staring at them; I replied to her that the reason was that she's the little girl with the cutest feet in the world, luckily she felt flattered and thanked me.
Now, for a while now, when we play I always take her socks off, and even when we're not playing or she's relaxing, I take them off anyway, I want her to stay barefoot as much as possible (unsurprisingly, she doesn't seem to mind it). Then I always tickle them, cuddle them, massage them and hold them in my lap when we're on the couch... I don't know, do you think there's something morbid about my attraction to my daughter's feet?
As long as you don’t hurt her, it’s all good. Also, a regular foot massage could be a great dad-daughter moment for her to cherish in the years to come.
I think possibly so. Have you tried talking to someone about it, privately? I wouldn’t mention it to her mother of course, but maybe have a meeting with a counselor/therapist, to maybe get down to the root cause? If this is new, then it could be simply a new development that isn’t dangerous. Have you had fascinations before, or with anyone intimately that isn’t your daughter? Even so, I think the best thing you can do is restraint yourself, and talk to a professional. Sometimes these things can turn into something bigger.
