Just because I dont wanna be around

Just because I dont wanna be around anyone(at all), or go out in public, doesnt mean there's something wrong with me...

Maybe I'm just a solitary person, okay?

And since when do you give a s***, anyways.

  • We all have those periods where, we're fine, but, just want to be left alone and stay home. I've declined an old college friend who visits me a few times per year, several times just for that reason. Simply wanted to be alone for a weekend and not have to entertain and be social. Sometimes, it really is because I'm busy with work (am self-employed), but others.. Not up for a visit and wanted a me weekend.

  • my sister is like that. I have always worried about her, but she seems fine with her lack of a social life.
    agreed!

  • I am a loner as well and have always ben that way.I really don't care what other people think of me to be honest.I am quite happy being alone with only myself for company. There's nothing wrong with you. Some people just enjoy solitude.

  • I love beign alone. Whoever has kids, a husband, and countless other people bothering you all day, time spent alone will feel like paradise!

  • You are not alone. Some of us enjoy our own company but it is important I think for mental health, to associate with others from time to time. And really...no man is an Island. We do need a certain amount of human contact at times. Good luck...don't be a stranger.

  • I have always been like that. i live in an apartment complex and my neighbors have frequent get-togethers. i know they think i am stuck-up for not joining in, but i am perfectly content being at home reading or watching t.v. i don't seem to need the company of others to make me feel whole. i think that's enlightened, but most everyone else probably thinks it's weird.

  • Well, I know that sometimes it might be a problem for some people. Like, if a normally very social person all of a sudden gets all anti-social... that might mean that they're depressed or something. But some people, like myself, are just fine being by themselves! And it's not really a problem for me... so why should it be for other people?

  • agreed!

  • I know how that is.
