Everyone's Going to Hate Me
I am Catholic.
And I can honestly say that I do not support gay marriage.
People are going to hate me.
But I'm confident.
Why, you might ask?
In the Bible, God said that marriage is between a man and a woman.
You've heard of Adam and Eve? And He told them to be fruitful and multiply?
Can you do that when you're married to someone of your same gender?
No.
It's the purpose of marriage.
And we are desecrating a beautiful sacrament.
And America was founded with religious morals.
We don't have any right to defy what God says.
That's all I have to say.
Ok I'm gonna say this..I don't personally like gay marriage and I don't ever think or understand why they would want to be united in a church through a religious ceremony that has only spiritual religious meaning to someone who believes in gods word and whats in the bible and the bible does say marriage is between man and woman. It's like me wanting a Muslim wedding, even tho I am not Muslim or would never and have never taken on their belief system, and the Muslims telling me I can't be united under their religion...and then me kicking up a fuss, truth is if I wanna be in their gang I have to follow the rules right? Makes sense don't it?
Marriage is a spiritual thing specific to whatever religon and if your not going to respect or be a part of that then you have no business getting married in that way.
That's my opinion on that because its logical i mean a civil union as a gay is fine if that's what you want..just a contract declaring each others love and commitment to each other financially and emotionally if that's all your wanting.
I think people have a right to say they dont like the idea of gay marriage in a religious atmosphere...it's not really fair to ** all over someones religion by forcing them to accept that gays can take something that's sacred to a Christian person and make a mockery of it.

Wake up! God was created by humans who just wished for an easy explanation behind the wonder of existence. Humans have always made their own laws, whether or not they attribute them to some mythical creator. The notion that 'god' forbids gay/lesbian marriage was introduced by some ancient homophobe was was no better or more powerful than anyone else. I myself have never felt any homosexual inclinations, but I am all in favour of however others find their own happiness...
I wonder what God thinks about when he sees two gay men or women love each other, while a male and female are getting divorce papers... Hahahahahaha

I respect that you are against gay marriage because of your personal religion, but please understand that it doesn't mean that should be the law for everyone. No one said you have to do it.
