Am i over-reacting?

I got annoyed with this guy who's like my best friend because we kinda used to like each other but I just found out that in his words he wouldn't say that he kept me a secret from his friends, he just "didn't tell anyone about me, but he would have if someone asked." Am I over-reacting about this?
