Struck back with an anonymous text app
So an acquaintance said some really horrible things about me and my husband. She became estranged from our group of friends because her conservative husband didn't approve of us, or of her having friends outside of him. She said such horrible things about me that i used an anonymous text app to send her a few messages saying she and her husband sucked. It sounds lame but it felt like I was being horrible.

Say it to her face or at least say somthing worse then "your husband **"
Let it go. They aren't worth it and in the grand scheme of things, we can't be friends with everyone. Does it really matter what people who don't like you (or know you) say about you? Would you be friends with them anyway? As much as you want to say something to her ..and you did in a roundabout way, the truth is sometimes your words, good or bad, are just lost on people. They are who they are and many times don't get it. It's also interesting to note, you reference her as an acquaintance and not a friend. So save your energy for the people that do matter in your life.
That's because you didn't have the ** to say it to her face!
