Dealing with blacks at work
I worked for the state and we had an after-school project designed to show what work was like in the real world to high school students. I was charged with working with a 17-year-old black kid. He was managed by a black lady in HR. My own manager ws a black man.
The kid wasn't much help and he was told by his manager not to go to certain parts of the building. One day when he was supposed to be helping me he didn't show up. His manager called and I told her that he wasn't with me.
What had happened was this. He had complained about me telling him what chores he needed to be doing. Apparently, my manager agreed with him.
In the meantime, his boss who was black began to look for him and found him in the exact place she had ordered him not to go into. She fired his **. He deserved it although while I was with them I asked her to give him another chance. It didn't work he was out the door.
Ok along come my manager who was unaware of what had happened and told me to quit bossing the young man around and let him work on whatever project he wanted to. I couldn't get a word in edgewise when the HR lady stopped by and told him of the termination.
My manager looked embarrassed but said nothing.
I think a little stinker charmed the manager. Or reminded him of a nephew or something. How big was your grin?
I didn't grin.
And your point is? Let me guess, DOES it have anything to do with black people?! Lol
