Grandpa Bill and Grandma Elly, and my mother
This isn't about me, it's more about my mother. I grew up as an only child, my mother was a nurse when I was a child. We grew up in a house owned by the couple next door. When she worked I stayed with them. By the time I was turning seven I realized that my mother wasn't family but she sure was something else. I called them, the couple who owned the house, Grandpa Bill and Grandma Elly.
It was at Thanksgiving when I was nine that I saw Grandpa Bill grab my mother's hinny and give it a good squeeze. She slapped his hand but that was it. After that I paid more attention and Grandpa Bill was always touching her hinny, giving her spankings and grabbing her tight. I saw him kiss her and I saw her kiss him many times. I guess once you see it, it has always been around you.
I saw my mother get up on the bed and open her legs and Grandpa Bill get on her. I was eleven and it was hot outside and Grandma Elly grabbed me by the hair and told me to mind my own business. I was obsessed with Grandpa Bill and my mother, I watched them all the time. Grandma Elly told me one day when we were making apple pie that a woman needs a man to pay attention to her and it just so happened that my mother needed Grandpa Bill to pay attention to her and I needed to leave them well enough alone and not follow them around.
It was hard not paying attention. Even after I was all growed up and in high school I paid attention. I asked Grandma Elly one day who my father was. She said he was a ship that passed in the dark. I spent the biggest part of my high school days and college days sure than my father was Grandpa Bill. He isn't. He's the man who raised me, but he is not my 'father'.
My mother is a very good looking woman in her fifties. Granbpa Bill and Grandma Elly are now in the seventies. But when Grandpa Bill kisses my mother my mother is always ready. I don't stare anymore, it feels good to know that Grandpa Bill was always there for my mother. For me too, he pretty much paid for everything for me growing up, including college. He is from that point of view my father, the only father I have ever had.
