Maybe a doctor can answer this question
When I was in grammar school a boy could not stop laughing. He was loud and nerve wracking. The teacher told him on numerous occassions to stop his laughing but he could not seem to stop. He was taken to the principals office and was told he would be expelled if he did not stop laughing. He tried but as hard as he tried he soon burst out laughing again.
He was expelled because no one could learn anything while he was in class. He had been paddled, threatened by bullies and I heard that even while being paddled or hit by bullies he could not stop his laughter.
Anyone here know what his problem was? I'm sure he had severe psychiatric issues but is there a name for this type of mental illness?
I have no idea what became of him.
